Pros

Customer-focused thinking applied and practiced to relieve the most people of the greatest burdens of the existing financial system.

Employee-oriented operations, processes, and benefits.

Open dialogs, training, and a positive approach between managers, directs, and those who seem to go all the way to the top.

Technology is being revised constantly, and new solutions are experimented with in a proactive manner.

Engineers are encouraged to grow, challenge themselves, and plenty of tools and opportunities are provided.

Projects have a generally good infrastructure that provides many important services out of the box in a useful way.

Cons

Stock value has not recovered despite large value-engendering steps and big investments into the AI space. Some processes are exhaustively difficult to put together because of complicated systems and legacy.

Old technical choices linger, and large-scale operations are extremely hard to change and make flexible again.

Advice to Management

Keep priorities straight and improve the sideways communications between teams to improve collaboration.

Some infrastructure is made rigid because it is planned to fit a single use-case. To make infra flexible again, it must be written in such a way as to remove constraints and controls, instead of adding them.
