Office in and out time is flexible.
You will get a place in the corner of a bay, not with the team you work for. So, you feel disconnected from your team. In very few teams, the managers allow the contractors to sit near the FTEs, but they don't provide any cubicle for them. Contractors adjust themselves on a small table and an ordinary chair where there are no back adjustments, and that can hurt your spine when you sit for a long time. Moreover, every morning when you come, you find that your chair is missing because the housekeeping staff would have taken the chair back somewhere else.
You will not be involved in any core discussion of the team. You never know what is happening in the team, and suddenly, some day when FTEs are not available, they come to you and expect to execute the complete work, which you don't have any clue about.
No KT for contractors when they join the team. Whereas for FTEs, a full-fledged KT session is conducted, and they expect contractors to work as efficiently as FTEs without any prior training.
This is the most mean thing that happens in Intuit. They have a separate DL for sending mail to only FTEs within each team. Any celebration happens, like birthdays, farewells, or project success announcements, they send emails only to the FTE DL and never inform contractors anything about it. It feels so dishonorable to see everybody around you going for the celebration, cake cutting, and different sorts of parties just 10 meters away from you, but you are not invited to join it.
They arrange for lunch, outings, and parties every now and then, and only FTEs are invited as usual. It feels so bad to be left alone when everyone else you work with are merrymaking in front of you, but you are not invited to be a part of it. Whereas during release time, you are asked to stay back late at night and work as hard as FTEs.
Insensible policy for contractors, full of discrimination.
No learning and growth opportunity. Contractors don't expect to be converted to FTE ever. This is next to impossible.
You will be given second or third-hand old laptops to work with. Just food and free transport. That's all. If you love your self-respect, never join Intuit, Bangalore as a contractor.
Please be a little sensible and change the mean policies for contractors. You provide high billing for the contractors (of course, that goes to the parent company, not directly to the contractor), but if you want them to really give their 100%, stop this discrimination in the workplace.
Horrible company. My interview was conducted by some kid. More than an interview, it was a 45-minute trial of dominance displayed by the kid. The interviewer seemed intent on proving his knowledge rather than understanding my skillsets. He repeatedly
The initial screening was straightforward, primarily focusing on your resume, your "about yourself" statement, reasons for interest in the company, and behavioral and situational questions. All in all, it was a good initial interview, and I hope to a
The process was really smooth. HR was in constant communication about each round. There was one online coding round and three technical rounds. The last was the design round. All interviewers were patient and supportive.
