Pros
  • Your coworkers on your team are great.
  • Benefits are very impressive: stock grants, ESPP, bonus sharing, a very good 401k match, $600 health (i.e., gym) reimbursement, etc.
  • Seeing Brad Smith talk in person—never pass up the opportunity.
Cons
  • Annual summer layoffs: Avoid working on old code, as it will be sent to India and you will be looking for a new job.
  • New 3-year plan every year, with a new team reorg to go with it.
  • Highly political: If your PM or team manager has the juice, you're golden. If they are unpopular or not well liked, forget it.
