Pros

Good work-life balance while still experiencing a fast-paced, results-oriented culture.

The overall quality of your peers is strong (you won't work with turkeys), and the customer demand is very high (your products will ship and be widely used).

Cross-business unit and geographical site standards are consistent, making for trust across the wider organization.

Cons

A larger company means that there are always competing initiatives and too many stakeholders to involve in every decision and change. The Tax organization has a rather large ego and tends to throw its weight around, which disrupts more general technical progress.

Advice to Management

Intuit is lacking strong CTO leaders who can clearly, competently, and forcefully affect change. Hire and support individuals who can, by fiat and without consulting every last party, set direction.
