Process

The interview was scheduled by HR. When I arrived at the venue, no one showed up until 30 minutes passed. I called HR, who did not answer. Later, I called an alternate number, which was answered, and finally, 3 people showed up.

The first round was held by 3 unprofessional individuals. They had no resume of mine, no pen, and no papers. This shows how much they wanted a resource for their team.

They started with Java Core. I tried my best to reach them (they are good) and later moved to Spring Boot, where the actual torture started. They aimed to prove that I am not fit and should not put anything on my resume unless I know it 100%, not even 99%.

Actually, I am so interested in Spring Boot and used to learn a lot about it, and I am confident in it. But their behavior made me say I don't know, even if I know the topics, because I was afraid I would have to work with these people.

And they gave me a suggestion: "Don't put anything on your resume until you know all about it."

They could have told me I was not fit or not up to the mark, which would have been accepted and respectful. But they commented on my current company, comparing it with his friend who was already working in it, and my college.

From there, I was afraid if I would end up working with these mannerless people.

After all this nonsense, one of the three questioned me sarcastically, "How was the interview?" I said, "It's good," with tears in my eyes. That's how they treated me.

Before this interview, I had a very good opinion about J.P. Morgan. It's one of my dream companies, but now I feel how they can have such an unprofessional interview panel who had no manners at all.

Questions

Difference between Encapsulation and Abstraction

What is static used for?

Can we override static methods?

hashCode() and equals()

Difference between ArrayList and LinkedList

Threads and synchronization questions on them. How I tried to explain, they are telling I don't know, just saying from the book. So I lost interest to try.

Streams: Why streams? I tried, still ended up hearing bookish knowledge. But really, I worked on it, tried to write and give an example. But they asked about predicate and consumer structure, which I have not used. So even though I said what I read, they ended up saying I'm saying it from the book. So I said, "Yeah, I don't know."

Annotations in Spring Boot and why Spring Boot if I had Spring?

How is CI/CD managed? Explained with TeamCity, but they want it in Jenkins, which I had worked on for CI. I tried to explain, they explained in reverse, "Is what I'm doing in TeamCity a pipeline?"

Deployments in OpenShift. I tried to explain about YAML files we used to maintain, but he threw stones like, "You will sit and click a button there?" I really lost my temper, felt like leaving the place, but I had manners so I did not.

From there, I did not feel like answering anything as I feel. Leave from these mannerless people.
