Do recruiters get bonuses for pushing HireVue tests? I was told to take one ASAP so I could be included in a 90-minute hiring event in 2 days. I was told to just do my best and that it’s okay if I don’t finish. The results would just be used as a snapshot for which position would be a best fit.
So without brushing up on my HireVue tutorials, which I haven’t done in a couple of years, I rushed into the exam link, which the recruiter’s email said to do ASAP. Guess I didn’t do well because I got ghosted.
No follow-up, no invitation to the hiring event – very unprofessional. I don’t care for companies that use these tactics.
Maybe I’ll get a rejection email in a couple of months from Chase, but I won’t hold my breath.
