Process

The interview was supposed to be conducted as a "BlueJeans video session" from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

I joined the call at 9:55 am. It was expected that the interviewer would do the same to avoid a last-minute hustle.

I waited for about 15 minutes, and nobody joined the call, which is very unprofessional behavior.

Then I received a call at 10:08 am on my personal cell from the interviewer. She stated she was away from her laptop and would like to conduct the interview on the call itself.

She asked me about my projects and prior IT experience. It took me around 8-9 minutes to explain all the projects, technologies, and clients I worked for.

Then she asked me a few questions, which I was able to answer. However, she clearly seemed distracted. I asked, "Hello, are you there?" after giving an answer, and she replied she was on mute.

There were no cross-questions on any of the answers I gave. I am not even sure if she heard what I said.

She asked me if I am proficient with Java 8. I said I mainly work on Java 7. Still, she asked me Java 8 questions (which is fine).

She was taking frequent pauses. I think she was trying to figure out what to ask next, or she was doing some personal chores.

Then she asked me one more question and said she was done with the interview.

The total duration of my interview was 18 minutes, which was supposed to be 60 minutes.
