I was contacted by HR via phone and e-mail. The HR Rep said they liked my resume and wanted me to interview for a few positions I might be a good fit for, even though I had only applied to one role. I agreed to interview.
Within the next few days, I received two different interview requests. Each interview was in a similar format: Meet with two team members of the team, each for 30 minutes. All were via Zoom.
I had four 30-minute interviews for two different positions. For my first interview, no one showed up. I was very disappointed in the company's professionalism. The next two interviews went okay. I was asked general questions about Spring, Kafka, and Spark.
I did not like my last interview. I had my camera on, and the interviewer didn't. They went over the 30-minute time slot; we spoke for about an hour. They kept asking me a lot of questions as if they were specifically trying to find my weak spot so that I wouldn't move on.
To this date, I have not heard back, and I do not intend on following up. I also see a lot of job postings for JP Morgan Chase. I honestly do not understand why they have so many postings on job boards.
Interviewers seemed to want to trick you so you wouldn't move to the next round. Personally, I feel a bit discriminated against because there was not much diversity with the people I interviewed with. Everyone was of South Asian descent, and it seems like they prefer to hire people of that ethnicity. I have also interviewed here about 2 years ago and had the same experience with the people interviewing me. Never applying here ever again.
