Waste of time. You can do better.

Recruiters belittle you and your skills when it comes to negotiating salary.

My interview process:

1. I got a call from the recruiter after applying on their portal. They asked me my availability for a date.
2. I attended the interview. There were two technical rounds with average questions on core Java and some frameworks.
3. I cleared the HireVue exam the next day.
4. The recruiter called me for an HR round. They asked about my previous experience. When I was explaining, she said, ‘Oh, good! Nice!!’ When it came to my expected salary, she said, ‘How come? I mean, your profile is below average.’ Then she gave me a figure that was way below what I expected, not even 15% higher than my current salary. She asked me to take time and think about it. I thought, ‘At least it’s a good company; I can make amends in my salary expectation.’
5. The next day, I sent her an email about my decision, thanking her for giving me time to think about it and requested an offer letter.
6. I received a call after two days from her, saying that this position was already filled. I can’t do anything now.

Waste of time and efforts. You can do better.
