I attended an interview at JP Morgan for the post of Software Engineer II .NET. I cleared all the technical rounds and attended the behavioral round with the executive director as well. I went through all the interview rounds, including the final HR discussion where compensation and joining timelines were discussed and agreed upon. Everything seemed positive, and I was expecting an offer.
However, I was surprised to receive a rejection email the next day, stating they were moving forward with other candidates. While I understand hiring decisions can change, clear and transparent communication would have been appreciated, especially after reaching the final stage.
Candidates invest their time and effort, and a little more clarity or feedback would go a long way in maintaining trust and respect. I hope the company works on improving its candidate experience, especially at the final stages.
