The dev lead is great and cares about engineers. I love the people I work with, and they are all my age.
Upper management is making questionable decisions, specifically about the return to office. They have said they are tracking employees and will punish those who are not in the office. They also do not listen to engineers and care more about pushing out products quickly than creating sustainable systems.
Move more engineers to upper management.
First, a take-home coding question with a time limit. LeetCode easy, I think. After that, a three-hour session. The people I spoke to were not really talking with me and only asking minimal questions, expecting me to fill up the rest of the time talk
Initial phone screening with HR. Short call. Asked about salary expectations, which were lower than what I was looking for, so decided not to move forward. I also asked about another position that I had applied for. The HR manager was nice enough
Very nice interviewer, asked me a couple of basic questions for a 20/30 minute time slot during the assessment centre. Mostly to do with the company and why I want the role, etc.
