Pros

You can plan for a long-term job here if you are not worried about regular promotions and salary.

Leaves are really good.

Cons

If you are not a favorite of your manager, then promotion and hikes will be delayed.

Consumer Banking Managers are really not aware of how quality has to be maintained for a software. They understand that developers can write automation code, meaning quality will be maintained. Developers do not know test strategy or how to design functional and non-functional test cases to find a greater number of hidden bugs.

About salary: As an automation engineer, I am getting an average of 2-3 lacs increment each year.

Advice to Management

A software product based on design, development, and quality is supposed to be maintained by VPs, EDs, and higher management.
