Nice people. Genuinely interesting work. At the center of power.
If you are coming from big tech (FANG), beware. The company culture is not proactive. It's very hierarchical in ways that can prevent agile product development. The promotion scheme is extremely political and often not rooted in activities that necessarily improve outcomes. After promotion, people tend to "let go" of the job activities that got them promoted, which often really impacts the broader team, as someone has to pick up the slack.
Evaluate promotions not only on individual performance but on impact to the team. If someone is highly generative but destroys camaraderie and morale, they shouldn't continue to be elevated.
