JP Morgan had some excellent employee benefits and compensation. Based on a 40-hour work week, it was fair. Some of the managers I worked with were smart, competent, and fair.
I worked for an immature management team. Simply too much uncompensated work, very poor work/life balance, and ignorant, childish behavior from management at times. The on-call rotation was truly terrible, and the lack of appreciation from immediate management was very poor.
If they removed some of the old-school managers, I think JPMorgan could be a good place to work. Working for a global entity can be interesting and challenging if done right. I was just stuck in a bad situation with management that thought saying "nobody goes home" every Friday was doing a great job.
