Pros

Perceived as a good, stable company. Top management has a good reputation in the media and on Wall Street.

Cons

Dysfunctional culture, if there is any culture.

No respect for lower levels.

Managers constantly send emails demanding frivolous updates, even during Thanksgiving evening, for example. This is normal for all days across the company.

Very stringent class system.

Employees cannot question a manager, especially if they have titles like Executive Director, let alone Managing Director. Extremely rigid hierarchy of authoritarian culture.

Advice to Management

I'm not sure if it is possible, but walk the talk and change the rigid culture of bullying employees.
