Stable benefits.
Large range of software/projects to work on across the firm.
Mobility culture.
Promotes technical and professional growth.
Prefers soft skills rather than technical skills in entry-level positions out of university.
Very large firm, easy to feel swallowed up or purposeless. Managers vary across the firm; sometimes it feels like a lottery if you land a good one. Salary and benefits are average. The firm likes to call itself a tech company, but as a bank, there's a lot of governance and red tape that stalls innovation and the start-up mentality.
Ensure directs are engaged and actively working on their technical and professional skills outside of BAU work.
After submitting the application on their portal, I received the OA from HackerRank. It consisted of two coding problems to complete in one hour. A few days after I completed the OA, I was sent a Hirevue to complete. A few weeks after I completed
10-minute HackerRank, then I was invited to CFG. No offer due to location constraints within the NYC metro. CFG is a higher chance for you to get an offer than a straight interview.
Interviewer was very, very rude and hurried. This company set up an interview with me via Zoom three times. Two out of the three times, they no-showed for the virtual interview.
