Pay is above average, but not by much.
I was on their cybersecurity team. I was lied to by the manager during the interview; they said it was a contract-to-hire position. They definitely lied because nobody on the team got converted, and eventually, all of them, including me, were let go. I don't know what leadership is thinking. None of the contracts were extended on the team.
Don't lie. If you don't have budget for a year, don't hire. I left my full-time job at Expedia based on your words, and we signed a year contract. You let me go in six months. I would not have taken the job if it was a six-month contract.
Two rounds of interviews. The first was theory questions and one coding question: transpose of a matrix. The second round was system design of your recent project, a Trie coding question, and one scenario-based Java question.
This was in late 2020 (all virtual) for their growing cloud division in Seattle, WA. The first interview was a single technical interview. I had a video call with an engineer and completed a question with code sharing. The final round virtual onsit
1st, with associates (Technical), asking about string questions, code review, and the top 10 most asked interview questions. 2nd, the hiring manager (Technical). Both sessions were via Zoom call. They took about one week apart.
