Pros

Good benefits, salary. A place to be if you are day-in, day-out.

Cons

I observed rampant cronyism to the point when people with only a high school diploma and no technology background were accepted into IT Executive Director positions, just because of "networking".

JPMC also goes out of its way to discriminate against straight white males, by using race, gender, and sex orientation as criteria for promotion.

The IT department in particular is overrun by immigrants from India because Chase signed exclusive agreements with TCS and Cognizant (Indian IT companies) to provide all consultants, who are then converted into FTEs. As a result, it is common to see 80% of the people on the floor are from India. Needless to say, it is just another form of discrimination.
