Cons

Good benefits don't mean anything if they are burning your employees out.

One of my team leads had to be put on blood pressure medicine because work is so stressful for senior developers.

His work schedule is messed up too, as he works from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and then 8 p.m. - 2 a.m.

As for me, I have worked 60-70 hour work weeks for the past two years. And it would be worth it if I got a raise and a bonus increase, but because of the company's performance in the last year, that was not in the cards.

Advice to Management

It costs more to train new employees. If you want to keep your current workforce, stop burning them out.
