Pros

As such a large firm, there are so many opportunities, and the firm really encourages internal mobility opportunities.

Cons

Sometimes the size of the firm makes things more complicated. There is a lot of internal content that is an additional layer on top of learning the actual tech stack. As a tech company within a bank, the firm lags behind on some of the benefits and amenities often found in other tech organizations. My biggest frustration is the firm-wide push to return to office regardless of role or responsibilities. These moves and policies make no sense, particularly for many of us on the tech side of the firm. This move alone has me considering other options.

Advice to Management

Listen to the concerns, issues, and complaints of your staff. Be more transparent in your decisions and provide data to support culture-shaping decisions, instead of ignoring and even silencing them on matters like return to office.
