Pros

Pay and benefits are good for the most part.

Cons

The focus here seems to be on acquiring new talent, but not necessarily upskilling existing employees. This depends on the team.

There are too many levels of management. Your pay and benefits are not determined by your immediate manager but by upper management, who may or may not know who you are and are based in another location.

There is too much red tape and paperwork to fill out to get something done, even if the task is a 5-minute task.

Work/life balance depends on the team and manager. It can be flexible, but it goes both ways. If there is an issue in the middle of the night or while on vacation, expect to be called.

Advice to Management

Make an effort to know your employees.

Practice what you preach and live/work by example.
