The team members I work with are generally great to be around and want to help team members succeed.
I've noticed that across software engineer teams, managers lack work-life balance and micromanage individuals throughout the day, every day.
Give individuals time for the opportunity to approach business requirements how they recommend. Managers should not need to control the approach of details; they should point individuals in a particular direction rather than making decisions without recommendations from the individuals implementing the solutions.
I applied to J.P.M. online. The process starts with an online assessment. I was asked to do some easy-medium LeetCode questions within 1-1.5 hours (forgot exact time limit). The process did not move on.
It was easy. Tested knowledge of data structures and algorithms. A few rounds, and the last one was the hardest. It was an overall positive experience; the interviewer was super nice.
Two-question coding assessment: 30 minutes and 45 minutes, followed by a recorded video response on how you could make your code better. Two-week timespan to take the assessment.
