A "work hard" not "work smart" environment. Too much time wasted on formalities and bureaucracy. The software development team is largely unbalanced, with one or two people carrying the majority of the workload.
Throwing money at technology does not necessarily make it better. Invest in a smarter work model where programmers work less time but more efficiently. Encourage lifelong learning as a company-wide (tech) approach.
