My experience with Klaviyo’s recruiting process was disappointing. It took about three weeks just to schedule the initial recruiter phone screen.

Then, shortly before the scheduled call, the recruiter canceled or rescheduled the interview without providing any explanation. I understand that unexpected conflicts happen, but after already waiting several weeks for a first conversation, the last-minute change with no context made the overall process feel disorganized and gave me the impression that candidates’ time was not being treated as a priority.

This was still very early in the interview process, so I can’t comment on the technical interviews or the engineering team itself. However, the recruiting experience significantly reduced my interest in continuing with the company.

I would recommend that Klaviyo:

• Improve scheduling responsiveness
• Communicate more clearly when changes happen
• Provide candidates with at least a brief explanation when interviews are canceled at the last minute
