Klaviyo Work Experiences

great place to work

Software Engineer Intern • Former Employee

January 6, 2022

Pros: - Super friendly staff - Great internship structure that was small enough for me to befriend other interns even virtually - Very open environment and welcoming to questions - Small enough to be working on helpful projects and making an impact, yet large enough to have a well-structured internship program

Cons: Definitely a different experience from working at a big tech firm, not that this is a con.

The hiring process and engineering team is great at Klayvio

Engineering Manager • Current Employee

Pros: The recruiters, managers, and developers I interviewed with were responsive, accommodating, and were just good down-to-earth folks. The engineering team is tight knit and truly full-stack, so I'll get to have a major impact on the product as a hands-on engineering manager.

Cons: I haven't yet experienced any negatives at Klaviyo.

Pros: - Salary is good - Good benefits

Cons: - Micromanagement by query platform management - No empathy - Forced to be in meetings, even optional ones - Forced to turn on cameras even when breastfeeding a baby - Requiring communication in Slack channels even when our input is not required, which shows engagement - They put people on PIPs to get rid of them
