It was a pretty bad experience overall. Initially, I was not interested in applying at Klaviyo, but they reached out to me on several platforms to interview, and I finally gave in.
The live coding prompt was kind of a mess compared to other live coding sessions I've experienced. The interviewers didn't want to collaborate and instead mostly observed in silence.
When I asked questions, they sort of insulted my knowledge by telling me to Google basic JS methods, as if I were a beginner. I gave up on purpose after 15 minutes, as I felt I did not want to work with coworkers who would treat me like that.
After the interview, I was completely ghosted. They couldn't even bother sending me an email to say I wouldn't be moving forward (ironic, given they are an email platform). A blessing in disguise, as I consider it a bullet dodged to work at this company.
I can't say much because they make you sign an NDA.
