Process
I submitted my CV and, after a week, had an initial call with the recruiter regarding my experience. This was followed by a call with the hiring manager another week later.
The hiring manager didn't ask any technical questions, only about my experience and why I wanted to work at Klaviyo. He mentioned there would be 5-6 further rounds of interviews, so I should expect a lengthy process.
The conversation went fairly well, but after a week, I received an email saying they had selected others for the next steps.

People were having an open discussion in an off-topic channel, asking questions and sharing feelings about benefit cuts that had been shared in a poorly worded email two days before taking effect. None of the comments crossed the line or were in any way unprofessional. They were discussions about benefits and work conditions, but because there was a layer of negativity (as there would be with any TC cut) leadership got uncomfortable and went to people's managers to stop the conversation. Over my time here there have been a lot of decisions I disagreed with, but could live with and commit to. This is different; for the first time, I am ashamed to work here.
