I had a weird interview experience for a Senior Staff Software Engineer role at LinkedIn.
It’s called the evaluation round. The interviewer himself was a Sr. Staff engineer and was very aggressive. I was surprised by how badly he prepared for the interview. This Sr. Staff engineer showed zero empathy and compassion, and lacked interviewing skills.
I do have very great experiences with other companies.
While I’m not surprised with the result, I am surprised that companies like LinkedIn don’t train their Sr. engineers on how to conduct interviews.
The questions were about a 10-year-old project that I worked on. Isn't that crazy?
