I applied through an employee referral and received a phone call from the recruiter. They were courteous and prompt. They scheduled me for two one-hour phone screens: one leadership screen and one technical screen.
The leadership screen mostly focused on my background: where I came from, what I did, and why. They asked about difficult decisions and projects where showcasing those was challenging.
The technical screen involved a couple of questions and one coding exercise. I thought I did well on the coding question. I wrote the code as the problem was stated initially, and then the interviewer added further constraints. The other question was to complete some missing implementations in a C++ class.
I felt the leadership screen went all right.
I pinged the recruiter after three days. The next day, she informed me that their hiring committee had decided not to proceed with an onsite interview.
It looks like they are looking for a perfect solution during the phone screening.
