Mobile Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Very straightforward interview process:

  • Phone Screen: A typical one-hour phone screen with a mobile engineer. I was asked about my résumé/past experience, my knowledge of architecture patterns, and some language-specific questions. No coding was involved.

  • Virtual Onsite: This involved meeting with engineering managers, a Product Manager, and some mobile engineers. The interviews were each less than an hour long, which was great.

    • Some interviews focused on behavioral/past experience questions, which were all very reasonable and practical.
    • Others included Coderpad-style pairing questions. The coding questions were very collaborative, though algorithm-heavy. I didn't feel tested; rather, I felt encouraged to show my problem-solving skills.

Questions
