Pros

Lowe's has historically been a great company in the U.S. with a strong work culture. However, things are changing rapidly, and there are increasing challenges and concerns. More on the cons.

Cons

It appears that much of mid-management has been transitioned to India, which was beneficial when they primarily oversaw resources there. However, the current structure designates managers in the U.S. in title only, while actual decision-making authority remains with managers in India. This shift may create challenges for U.S. employees, who may feel targeted or pressured to leave their roles. Additionally, this restructuring could result in a single vacated U.S. position being replaced by multiple roles in India. Furthermore, there is a lack of accountability, as requests for data or clarification regarding managerial actions often go unanswered, leaving employees without recourse. Managers operate with significant authority, while the HR department in the U.S. appears to have limited influence in addressing these concerns.

Advice to Management

I wish HR here had more authority to look into employee issues.
