Process

Two 60-minute technical phone screens were conducted.

The first involved an easy question with follow-up expansions. The question and expansions were completed in approximately 30 minutes.

The second screen presented a significantly harder problem, which was solved in about 40 minutes. The interviewer then asked for solutions to follow-up expansions, but coding them was not required.

The laptop challenge was finished within 40 minutes (30 minutes for coding and 10 minutes for refactoring, style improvements, and adding comments).

Performance on the other non-laptop challenge interviews was also good.

Pros: It had a lot of benefits outside of being a good place to work. Food and coffee in the office, Lyft Pink is included, etc. It was also a very open and inclusive place to work.

Cons: Since Lyft is such a big company, it's easy to get stuck with a project or assignment that you don't think is impactful.
