Pros: Lyft CDMX is a software development office, similar to its main offices in the USA (San Francisco, Seattle, New York). We work on large and important projects for the company, in teams that include people from other offices as well. It is a great place to learn through mentorship and collaboration with very experienced engineers, where you can contribute to ambitious and complex projects. The opportunities to grow in your career are unmatched in Mexico. Lyft CDMX started in 2020, so we have all been working 100% remotely up to this point, but as soon as it is safer to return to in-person interactions, we will have an office, probably in the Roma/Condesa/Juárez area. In the meantime, it has been a great way to interact more naturally with people in all offices.

Cons: There's always a constant flow of information that never stops and is impossible to absorb. There's no teamwork; each engineer works alone at their own pace on independent features. They impose too many conditions between one level and another of the career plan, which are almost impossible to meet, and salary increases are tied to this. The swag they give is scarce and of poor quality. They don't do much to make you feel like part of the company. The people who negotiate your salary, after you've gone through the entire set of entry interviews, start haggling as if it were easy to get into the company.
