Applied for an SSE position online.
Received a similar set of 5 questions about why MathWorks, visa status, etc.
Had an initial phone introduction with the hiring manager.
The HR person reverted back again with the same set of questions regarding salary, why MathWorks, visa status, etc., and a timeslot for conducting a technical interview.
Gave them a timeslot for the interview the following week.
After a day, I received an email informing me that they were proceeding with other candidates.
Felt totally shocked by the unprofessional behavior, but the response was consistent with the reviews seen here.
