Then, a phone interview, after which there was a phone call from the manager and an onsite interview.
They asked about simple data structures and a software design question. Overall, it was not very hard, and all interviewers were very friendly.

Pros: The people are MathWorks' greatest asset; very smart, involved, and just fun to work with.
The perks at the company are excellent.
Great office space, excellent amenities like a gym and workout classes, unlimited beverages, and a first-rate onsite cafeteria.
Work is challenging and engaging. You need to seek out opportunities, but they are there.
I really enjoy the people I work with, which is key to my job satisfaction.
Cons: The culture can vary from one part of the organization to another, so choose carefully.
Starting salaries can be lower than at other places, but over time it works out.
