Process

I had my first-round phone interview. The recruiting HR was really sweet. She sent me the details of what to expect and asked me to schedule a date for the interview within a few days. I scheduled it for a week later.

There were two rounds of interviews, and both interviewers were very nice.

However, I was not satisfied with the process. The second HR who scheduled my interview sent me a tentative time in the evening. On the day of the interview, I received an email stating the interview was in an hour and was supposed to be in the morning, not the afternoon. The interviewers did not have my phone number or resume. Fortunately, we were logged into a shared coding platform from which we exchanged numbers.

Additionally, the position advertised a heavy dependency on SQL and data modeling, and the email from HR about what to expect also stressed SQL and data modeling. However, I wasn't asked a single question about these topics. The interview instead focused solely on Python programming. When I inquired about this, the reason given was that SQL is easy to pick up, so they don't emphasize it much.
