I was contacted through LinkedIn and had several exploratory conversations.
Following this, I had a 45-minute onsite interview, which was then followed by another onsite with five 45-minute sessions plus lunch.
The process was very fluid, and I didn't feel pressured to move fast at all.

Pros: Facebook is a company that has evolved from a scrappy startup to a large, global company very successfully, due to very good management practices. It has never lost focus on engineering excellence as a key success driver. It's a great place to learn, even for industry veterans, and evolve.
Career growth is very well defined and metrics-driven, and politics are kept to a minimum. Compensation, perks, and benefits are top-notch.
Cons: Facebook still hasn't found the secret to retaining top engineering talent for the long haul.
Turnover is high, which, combined with constant internal mobility moves, leaves teams with a low level of deep expertise in the services they support.
