iOS Developer Interview Experience

Process

Coderpad interview with a Facebook engineer.

The engineer seemed like I was wasting his time through the whole process. He was a young guy, and Facebook was his first job right out of college.

First, I was asked about my work experience, but then he cut me off as I was talking and said, "Let's just move on to the technical questions."

The interviewer just pasted a question into Coderpad. It seemed like he was seeing the question for the first time also. He did a pretty bad job of explaining it. It was extremely specific to CG points and rendering of views. It was a problem I had never encountered before.

I honestly feel like these interviews are completely based on luck. If you get a good person, you will pass. It's my third time interviewing here, and I have passed the phone interviews twice before, but unfortunately, I got somebody that I felt was condescending.

Afterwards, I was asked one algorithm question; it was a LeetCode medium. I got the brute force answer, but before I could improve, I ran out of time.

Questions

LeetCode medium question based on array subsequences.
