Pros: Freedom can be refreshing, as long as whatever you do is aligned with leadership. The tricky part is that they will never tell you, since it's supposed to be bottom-up.
Cons: Incompetent leadership.
Bad incentives: promotes workplace posting and fake metric improvement, while leaving a mess of code debt.
Bad engineering practices.
