Production Engineer Interview Experience - London, United Kingdom

Process

First, there was a screening call with a recruiter, nothing out of the ordinary compared to any other (FAANG) company.

This was followed by a live coding interview. The interviewer was very supportive and tried to give hints if you did something wrong. Make sure to listen to the interviewer and what they are asking.

The third interview was a systems interview. The interviewer was again good, and once you answer a certain question, be ready to go very deep.

A very organized and smooth process. I would do it again.

Questions

You'll be able to prepare for interviews on the careers page after your first (recruiter) interview. Questions will be very similar.

Learning With Team Dependencies

Production Engineer • Former Employee

Dublin, Dublin, Ireland

Pros: A lot to learn (career-wise). Interesting internal systems and cross-systems. Culture welcomes ideas (doesn't mean accepting them, though). Team selection period for internship grads (try the team and decide).

Cons: Culture is very, very team dependent. Work/life balance is a mess in teams that require on-call. Teams (since the re-org at least) aren't willing to cooperate and listen to previous tool owners when passing knowledge (due to the re-org).
