Pros: The best thing about a Facebook internship is definitely the culture and the benefits.
My team was very relaxed, and I didn't feel pressured to overwork. Free food as an intern is great.
Cons: Working for a giant corporation can sometimes be depressing in a moral way because you worry a lot about whether you're actually ruining people's lives.

Most people are polite and open.
Managers are committed to helping.
Cons: Can be chaotic.
Working on a plane in mid-flight.
A bit reticent about remote work.

Pros: Brightest people from the whole world.
Freedom in everything: no micromanagement, no presence control, no forced decisions.
Great free food.
No worries about env and HW: many things are automated, for the rest we have dedicated teams.
Trips and trainings.
Cons: Lots of internal, specific tools. You have to study to get in, and the knowledge is hardly reusable when you leave. Any major initiative takes a very long time since you need to convince every single person around you to help (join) the project. Weird yearly assessment with requirements to provide impact in multiple pillars: project, people, direction, improvements. Might be tough to be good at all of them.
