Process
A total waste of time. I answered all coding questions correctly and matched all test cases, yet I was rejected from advancing to the next round. Aside from racial discrimination by the interviewer, I honestly can't think of any other reason.

Good Perks, Limited Growth
Senior Data Engineer • Former Employee
New York, New York, United States
June 29, 2025
Pros: - Pays well.
- Perks (especially food for on-site).
Cons: Don’t expect to work on cutting-edge data engineering problems. The role largely focuses on analytics and ETL tasks due to Meta’s highly developed infrastructure. Data Engineers are often seen more as support staff for analytics than core engineers.
Following the layoffs, Data Engineers are required to support multiple cross-functional teams at once. With no clearly defined niche, concerns about workload and bandwidth are frequently ignored.
Team placement matters. Be cautious when choosing a manager—those with limited experience may struggle with the demands of the role, leading to disorganization while maintaining a façade of effectiveness.
