Pros: My coworkers were awesome. We all knew we could count on each other, be honest in our feedback, and work together on interesting, challenging, and rewarding problems. We could also make an impact on the user experience for all Meta apps.
Cons: The rapid growth of the last few years made it harder for teams to operate autonomously. There was definitely an increased demand in justifying the work, not to mention needing to keep everything working with the same resources because capital spending couldn't keep pace.
And I won't lie, being laid off, even as the most senior person in the team, was a major negative.
