I received a call from an in-house recruiter. He explained the role and sent me detailed instructions on how to prepare for the coding interview. A day before the interview, the recruiter called again and provided examples of the questions I would be asked. The next day, I was asked those exact questions in the interview. It obviously didn't take me long to complete the test.
After that, there was a void. I had to email the recruiter a few weeks later, and he replied with the usual rejection email. When I asked for feedback, he suggested a call, which never happened. I emailed him twice within a 2-3 week period, and he replied again, suggesting a call. I'm still waiting...
I don't really know what to say. I have the impression that I was part of some sort of recruitment test where they check whether candidates admit they know the question when asked, or perhaps they are looking for an uncommon answer to a well-known question. I don't understand why it's so hard to get honest feedback from these big companies (or any feedback at all, actually).
It certainly left me with a very poor opinion of the recruitment experience, and I feel like I was laughed at.
