Software Development Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Had a referral.

Started with a phone call with 1 easy and 2 medium LeetCode problems.

Heard back 2 days later for a virtual onsite. There were 2 technical rounds and 1 behavioral round.

The first interviewer was extremely incompetent and couldn't understand why I was using a queue for a Breadth-First Search. I'm not sure what he wanted. I wrote out the pseudocode and then the code, and he still couldn't understand what I was saying. This round involved 2 medium problems.

The next engineer was fine. This round also involved 2 medium problems.

The last round was behavioral with the manager, and it included 1 medium problem.

Heard back a week later that I didn't get an offer, but I'm pretty sure they weren't hiring new grads anymore anyway.
