Exceptional Autonomy And Respect
Software Engineer • Current Employee
Bellevue, Washington, United States
October 2, 2025
Pros: I've found the company to really respect its workers. Benefits, giving them the freedom to choose what to work on and make judgment calls, managers only ever using the word "I support" rather than "I manage".
Cons: I've not experienced any downsides in my 5+ years at Meta.

Pros: They treat you well, and you can find almost everything you'll need. Colleagues are knowledgeable and fast-moving; you can learn a ton here.
Cons: Work hard, play hard. You have to spend more time studying and working than in lots of other places. Peer pressure is also high.
