I speak here about the off-campus hiring process for students in universities outside the United States.

The interview process consists of an offline programming exercise on the website InterviewStreet. This leads to two (or in some cases, up to three) phone interviews, all coordinated by your location's recruiter.

The interview process is very flexible, and the dates can be easily set up around your schedule. It took me a little over a month to go through the entire process, although it could be wrapped up within 2-3 weeks if one desires.

Besides general algorithmic questions, we also discussed my past experiences in related fields, and technical challenges I faced during the same.
