Process

After attending a conference and talking with several people from Facebook who were also present, I was contacted via email to see if I was interested in an interview.

I accepted, and my first phone interview took place a few days later. During this interview, I was required to complete a recursion assignment and create a polyfill in a shared code environment. While the recursion went okay, I was not satisfied with my performance on the polyfill. This portion of the interview lasted approximately 40 minutes.

I was surprisingly invited for a second phone interview, which also included a recursion question. Unfortunately, I made the problem more challenging than necessary for myself.

Following this, I was invited to Facebook HQ for four in-person interviews. These interviews covered topics such as recursion, closures, CSS, and implementations. Regrettably, I was not deemed a good enough fit for Facebook, which affected me for about a month. Although I believed I performed well, I took too long to get started on the tasks.

The recruiters and interviewers were excellent. The entire process was smooth and comfortable.
