A recruiter reached out and scheduled a phone screen for a specific team/group. One day before the phone screen, the scheduler said that they needed a different time. I noticed the interviewer had changed.
When I called in for the phone screen, I found it was not a phone screen. It was an interview with a manager in a different part of the company. I was asked 9-10 generic questions, such as where do you see yourself and what is your greatest success. Not twelve hours later, I received a rejection.
This interview was totally fake. Something happened behind closed doors. Facebook, which prides itself on everyone getting the same fair coding interview, pulled ALL the stops out to ensure I did not receive one. I don't know the reason; I am over 40, white, and male. Do not trust these people, and do not believe their interview process is fair in any legal or non-legal sense.
Where do you see yourself?
What is your greatest project?
What is your biggest failure?
FAKE QUESTIONS. FAKE INTERVIEW.
