Software Engineer Interview Experience - Palo Alto, California

Process

The interview consisted of two parts.

The first part was a basic screening by the HR person through a set of e-mail questions regarding work preferences, technology experience, etc.

The second part consisted of a phone conversation with one of the Facebook engineers. He asked questions regarding current employment responsibilities and your interest in Facebook.

He then proceeded to ask a simple technical question, requiring you to provide a solution on the spot through a web application that he could see you typing in (which was a bit nerve-wracking).
